About the Authors

Julie Kelly, M.S., R.N., is a fibromyalgia nurse clinician for the Fibromyalgia Treatment Program at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is co-author of the Taking Charge of Fibromyalgia materials, co-founder of the first support group in Minnesota. She has devoted the past ten years to helping treat fibromyalgia patients at the clinic, speaking at conferences for both patients and professionals, and actually finds time to be a devoted wife and mother!

Rosalie Devonshire, B.A., M.S.W., LISW is a license independent social worker, co-author of the materials, also an Arthritis Foundation trained support group leader, co-founder of the first support group in Minnesota, as well as a former board member of the Fibromyalgia Alliance of America. She teaches the FMS seminars, also speaks at conferences, to support groups, as well as professional conferences. She is also a devoted mother whose youngest daughter was also diagnosed with FMS at the age of 11. Her daughter is doing well now.

Both have lectured extensively on the topic of Fibromyalgia and keep up on the newest research and treatments by attending patient and professional conferences. Julie and Rosalie have brought a personal understanding to their audiences and their written material because they, too, live with fibromyalgia.

We hope someday to find a cure for this debilitating disease.
